Stop obsessing over perfection. Focus on progress.
Your first product won’t be great.
Your first design won’t be polished.
If you put something new out there, people will criticize it.
(Apple Liquid Glass is the best example)
The best designers don’t shy away from criticism.
They understand that people resist change.
That it takes time to adapt to new behaviors.
That innovation always looks weird. Until it doesn’t.
Great products are never finished. They’re always evolving.
I’ve designed so many products in the past, and here’s my number one learning:
If you design something, there will be no finish line.
You’ll always have to adapt, iterate, and redo it.
Only over time will you craft something remarkable.
So keep going. Don’t get distracted by noise.
Stay focused and see the bigger picture.
Ignore the short-term thinkers.
That’s how you win.
